CLOSE UP/VALUE DRAWING
Book binding (sketch books)
This is my water color paper and I really like how it turned out. I think the gold and purple look really good together. I used the wet on wet technique with water and paint. I had to let it dry for two days because of how much paint I used. This is going to be used for the end pages.
These are my signature pages. For my colored page I used pink. On Friday I think I will be able to start sewing the book and doing the finishing touches.
This is my cover and I chose a canvas material so I could add my own drawings or designs. I glued the pieces down with the paste and they are staying down really well. This was probably my favorite part because i'm excited to paint the canvas part.
This is my end page glued onto my cover and this was a little difficult to keep the end page stuck on the cover but when it dried it stuck on. I'm almost ready to put my signature pages in. I', really excited to get this finished and see the end results!
This is my sketch book completed! I like it so much and can't wait to use it on future drawings or projects. I chose pink to match my colored page and gold dots to match my water color page. This project was really fun and was very step by step. My favorite parts about the project was painting the outside of my cover because I could personalize it however I want. I think this project was very descriptive and fun!
This is my first drawing of the geometrical shapes. This only took me around 30 minutes. It definitely needs a lot of improvement on the blending but I really tried to get all of the colors and tones I saw.
This is my second on which took me around 45 minutes. This one definitely has a smoother transition between the shades of grey. This one is definitely improvement from the first.
This is the picture i'm going to be drawing. I'm using this as a refernce photo.
